Mangruv

Playing ping-pong between being a sound engineer, producer and drummer, Alek Kurniawan, or sonically known as Mangruv, freely executes a linkage of the natural, cultural and musical phenomena, serving the groove deep down to its purest forms of expression. Although he approaches a carefully microscopic handling to his sound, Mangruv scores high-voltage selections of sonik contorsions, always exploring along and beyond the micro and the macro of instruments’ changing dynamics and interactions. It’s called a Pseudosonik game and it’s where an instinctive mode of experimentation led Mangruv to ping and pong between fully stretched listening and FM style verbal dialogues.
